K-12 Under the Surface is swimming!

I have been busy creating lesson plans using Celestia and Stellarium. I also found a new site called Solar Systems. I've come to the conclusion that the sites are so vast, that you could create a multitude of lessons and still have not tapped in to all that is there. I hope teachers feel free to respond, comment, and add to ideas. I'm thinking the K-12 Under the Surface site could become one that teachers want to frequent to keep up with new and fresh ideas.

Welcome to K12 Under The Surface

This blogsite is a place to learn about and exchange Lesson Plans and applications that can be used in the classroom without much "fuzz". It is an outgrowth of the 2008 Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) project aimed at narrowing down the thousands of Open Source applications available to users via the Internet, and making usable and teacher friendly resources out of them. The "Under The Surface" site is where you can find Open Source applications together with the sample Lessons developed by talented EPISD educators.
